a little bit about me
this page is purely to answer the rather general question of who am i.
i have been contacted in the past via this website by people wondering
if I am the steven mckeon they once knew from an old workplace, school
etc etc. so i'll start wih a quick personal history that may help
people work out if we have ever crossed paths:
- firstly for any international visitors who think just because you have a dot com address you must be an american. i live in australia and always have, i use the dot com address as it's alot cheaper than getting a dot com dot au address.
- i was born in january 1972
- i grew up in moorebank in the south/ western suburbs of sydney
- i went to nuwarra primary school from kindy to year 6
- i played club sports for moorebank sports club for many year, mostly t-ball, baseball, softball and a season of under 9's soccer.
- i went to moorebank high from years 7 through to 12 finishing my hsc in 1989
- during high school I worked at kfc liverpool, banjo's lakeside restaurant later barnaby's lakeside restaurant and also steamers family restaurant in chullora.
- i went to sydney university from 1990 through to 1993 doing a bachelor of health science (nursing). which i didnt finish for numerous reasons.
- i worked for homecare during university and on leaving university worked full time with homecare for a total of just over 11 years.
- for the last 2 years at homecare I also studied full time at tafe in ultimo. doing computer related and web specific courses.
- on completing tafe i worked for ozemail in st leonards for about 3 months before 40 oddstaff got retrenched.
- started work at tna australia in early 2001 and am still there
- met helen in 2003 and then married her in may 2004.
- our son alex was born in march 2006 at rns private.
- i played a few years of cricket as a senior for both moorebank sports club and later cabramatta leagues club
- i still play baseball although now its for the texas mudcats
- our daughter kate was born in oct 2008 at rns.
